Gust van de Wall Perné

With this blog we want to get attention for the artist Gust van de Wall Perné (Apeldoorn, 18 mei 1877 – Amsterdam, 27 december 1911). He was a Dutch painter, illustrator, book cover designer and writer. Van de Wall Perné was deeply inspired by the nature and folklore from the Veluwe. He greatly valued the spirit; his endeavor was to get deeper into the idea. That is why he had a big influence on our artistic pursuits.

CODA Museum displays a retrospective of his work from November 5th, 2011 to February 26th, 2012. This exhibition gives cause for admiration – it’s really beautiful and inspiring!

More information can be found on the Gust blog by Annemiek Rens, who is an art historian. After Gust she also puts us in the spotlight with one of her writings. Thank you, Annemiek!
